Placement brochure detailing the programme structure and other programme attributes, along with student profiles is shared with companies to help these prospective employers develop a proper understanding of the institute, it’s programmes and the students
These organizations are subsequently contacted by the CRC(Career Resource Centre) to find out their campus recruitment plan for the year.
Student Council of Placement (SCOP) also visits the company along with the team member of Career Resource Centre (CRC) for the interaction.
Pre-Placement talks are organized at the Institute during which the companies make presentation about their operations, required skill set and job profiles.
We also contact Alumni who works in a company for the guidance to prepare students for the selection process.
Students from the graduating batch, who have a best-fit, in terms of attitude, skill sets and interest in the profile are identified and their resume are sent to the companies for further processing.
Company specific workshops, mock group discussion and mock interviews are scheduled to prepare the students for the final interview
The final interviews are held at IILM campus or at the company premises.
Company feedback is captured after the interview process.
Summer Placement Process
Summer Internship is mandatory for all PGDM students for the duration of 2-3 months.
The selection process for Summer Internship commence from September onwards.
The Career Resource Centre (CRC) interacts with the students to understand their funtional interest, sectors and dream companies.
Internship projects received from the company are evaluated by Career Resource Centre(CRC) and shared with the students through online portals.
Interested students, meeting the criteria, apply for the internship projects and Career Resource Centre(CRC) share the students’ data with the company.
During the internship program academic advisors along with CRC member visit companies and interact with the students’ industry mentor to track the progress of students.
As a part of summer internship evaluation, students submit fortnightly progress reports to their advisors and CRC. Guidance on final report preparation is provided by academic advisors.
The final assessment comprises of summer internship progress reports, executive summary, company details, and learning followed by an interaction with company representatives, industry mentor, alumni and faculty.
Student can also give presentation of the summer Internship project before the industry mentor and team member of IILM Career Resource Centre at the company premises.
Overall, summer internship provides an insight into the real world of their chosen careers and is imperative for students’ overall development to become an effective manager.
