Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Roy is a Chartered Member, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), United Kingdom. Dr. Roy was a recipient of National Science Talent Search Scholarship in the year 1975 securing an All-India Rank of 180.

Before starting his Journey as a Professor at IILM, Dr. Roy had served as the Director, ICFAI Business School (IBS) Dehradun. Prior to joining IBS Dehradun, Dr. Roy had served as Professor and Dean, School of Business and Economics, Adamas University, Kolkata and earlier as Professor and Dean, School of Management, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. Previously, he had worked as a Professor and Program Chair at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad (for 7 years) and at IMT Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a period close to 8.5 years. Even earlier, he had served as an Associate Professor at Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur. Prior to joining Academics, Dr. Roy had served as the Senior Principal Scientist and Head, Human Resource Group, and Member, Management Committee (MC) at CSIR-NISTADS (now known as CSIR-NIScPR), Government of India, New Delhi, a place he had served for more than 22 years.

Dr. Roy is a Member of the Management Committee of the Association of Supply Chain Professionals (ASCP). He has been a Corporate Trainer for companies such as HINDALCO Industries Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in India, and for companies such as the Landmark Group, Choithrams, and Redington Gulf FZE, in Dubai, UAE.

Dr. Roy was an ERASMUS MUNDAS Teaching Fellow (European Commission) at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and had also taught at prestigious national and international institutions such as International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi, Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Dubai, UAE, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai, UAE.

Dr. Roy received the Best Teacher in Operations Management Award at Asia’s Best B-School Awards, Singapore, 22nd July 2011. He was a recipient of Best Paper Awards at prestigious International Conferences such as 14th International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) Conference, 16th -18th September 2015, Cape Town, South Africa, and 35th Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Conference, 7th -8th November 2012, Dublin, Ireland.
