Dr. Bigyan Verma is a distinguished academic and institutional leader with a rich blend of experience in academia, industry, and regulatory engagement. He served as Professor of Finance at XLRI Jamshedpur for a decade, after which he transitioned into investment banking with JM Morgan Stanley. He was an Adjunct Professor at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University (Canada), and a Visiting Faculty at IIM Kozhikode for eleven years. Over the years, he has worked closely with SEBI and the National Stock Exchange.

Dr. Verma led IMT Nagpur as its Director and during his tenure, the institution reached the final stages of AACSB and NBA accreditation, revamped its academic architecture to align with outcome-based education, achieved full admissions, forged new partnerships, enhanced alumni relations, and recorded its best-ever placement outcomes. Earlier he served as President of the National HRD Network’s Nagpur Chapter. He was formerly associated as EC member for Indo- American Society.
