Lecture by the Mr. Pavan K. Varma on "What Makes a Great Leader? Lessons from History."
We were honored to host an insightful lecture by the esteemed diplomat and author, Mr. Pavan K. Varma, on “What Makes a Great Leader? Lessons from History.”
Mr. Varma shared valuable leadership principles from his interactions with political and business leaders. Through compelling anecdotes, he highlighted the importance of respecting dissent, mastering time management, and developing a visionary outlook. Each story provided a vivid lesson from Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s openness to criticism to PM I.K. Gujral’s multitasking prowess and Nitish Kumar’s talent-spotting abilities. Mr. Varma also emphasized the power of active listening, as PM Narendra Modi and DLF’s K. P. Singh demonstrated, showing how attention to detail enhances leadership effectiveness.
The session was a rich learning experience, leaving a lasting impact on all of us.
