Silence, discipline and order must be maintained at all times in the library.
Eatables and cold drinks are not allowed inside the library.
Library materials must not be taken out of the library unless a Library staff has issued them.
The Library is silence zone; cell phone must be switched off before entering the library. Usage of cell phone, clicking pictures will attract a fine of Rs. 500/- and subsequent stricter action.
For visiting or borrowing books from library, members should possess valid Photo-ID card issued by the IILM, Lodhi Road.
The library card is non-transferable. Loss of library cards must be notified to the librarian in writing. Upon approval replacement cards may be issued on payment Rs. 50.
Each borrowing member will be issued library tickets as per their entitlement.
A book can be reissued up to 2 times provided there is no reservation against it.
Library Newspapers, Magazines, Directories, Encyclopaedias, Dictionaries, Journals and Expensive collections fall under non-issuable material and cannot be taken out of the library.
Books kept in the Reference Section are not available for checkout. However, in exceptional circumstances, with the Librarian’s approval, they may be borrowed overnight. In such cases, a late fee of Rs. 25.00 per book, per day, will be applied if the items are not returned on time.
The Library staff may ask any user, who in their opinion, has violated the rules or whose presence is not conducive to the library / study environment, to leave the library premises. Repeated incidence of such behaviour shall attract punitive action.
The library is committed to providing inclusive services, offering specialized assistance and accommodations for specially abled members to ensure equitable access to library resources.
The Library is equipped with electronic surveillance equipment CCTV cameras.
Library surveillance and member information are managed strictly for institutional safety and resource protection. Personal data is confidential and used exclusively for library management purposes.
The management has the discretion to modify the library rules and regulations, and these modifications will be binding on all.
