The IILM LR Book Club is established to create a vibrant community of readers united by a shared passion for reading books, both literary and non-literary works. This club aims to promote intellectual engagement and facilitate discussions about diverse literary and non-literary works. The club offers students and faculty members an opportunity to explore various genres, and foster a love for reading. By participating in the book club, members can broaden their horizons, enhance their critical thinking skills, and enjoy thought-provoking discussions.
Objectives
- Promotion of reading culture and kindling love for reading among students and mentors.
- To develop critical thinking and analytical skills through engaging conversations.
- To encourage members to articulate their thoughts clearly and confidently.
- To enhance verbal and written communication skills through regular discussions and reviews.
- To introduce members to a wide range of literary and non-literary works.


Activities
- Review of books pertaining to business, management, leadership, entrepreneurship, and more. These book reviews will help in creation of a curated list of recommended readings on various business and management topics.
- Case Study of different industries will be analysed and discussed to present findings and solutions.
- Hosting guest speakers, author meet-and-greets and special events to enrich the club experience followed by Q&A sessions to deepen understanding of real-world business challenges.
- Workshops and Seminars on contemporary business issues and emerging trends.
- Networking Events & Field Trips to facilitate networking opportunities with professionals and peers to meet-and-greet with local business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Format
Participants are encouraged to prepare their presentations using the following format.
- Title of the Book, Author, Publisher & year of Publication.
- Main Theme & Key objectives of the book.
- Other prominent books that you may have read on the same theme
- Key Findings/Learnings from the perspective of Management discipline
- Your critical review of the book including any comments you would like to share with participants.

Committee Composition
The committee will consist of one Chairperson/Patron,two Professors, three junior faculty members, two Students (1 PG and 1 UG) and the Secretary. The Librarian of the Institute will act as Secretary who will be responsible for facilitating communication and executing administrative duties effectively.
Meeting Schedule
Book club will meet once in a month for book review/ case study analysis. The meeting will be scheduled for the first Monday or Tuesday of each month. In case of another significant event coincides with that day, a notification will be issued to all concerned parties at least one week prior to the scheduled activity.
General Guidelines
- You should have read the book within the past one year.
- Presentation will be based on the pre-agreed/informed reading material.
- Be respectful of differing opinions and give everyone a chance to speak.
- Constructive criticism is welcome, but personal attacks are not.
Awards/Honours
- Students will have the opportunity to receive prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, accompanied by certificates to recognize their efforts.
- Best summary will be featured on the institutional website
